NEW Mobile Payment System for EPark

Starting April 29, 2024, our city is stepping up its parking game with a new mobile app/payment system for EPark! Powered by HotSpot Parking, this upgrade is based on user feedback and improves parking experiences across Edmonton.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Starting April 29, you can pay online at the HotSpot website. The app will be available for download starting May 15, 2024

  • The app comes with features that will make parking payments easier, quicker, and more convenient.

  • What are some other improvements to user experience? The features to start, stop, and pay for parking sessions will have fewer steps and a more intuitive process. Plus, you can 'pay as you go' rather than funding your account in increments of $25. You'll also be able to purchase other parking services such as permits through the app.

  • Wondering how to pay before the app's launch? You can continue using your existing funds, and if you run out, pay for EPark online at v-epark.parkplus.ca. Payment by coin or credit card at EPark machines is always available.

  • What about remaining balances on the current app? Until April 28, you can request a refund online through 'Request an EPark Refund' and then close your MyEPark account. If your MyEPark account holds $25 or more as of April 28, it'll automatically transfer to your new HotSpot account between April 29 and May 15, 2024. And if you had $25 or less in your MyEPark account as of April 28, you can still request a refund for your remaining balance in your closed account until June 30, 2024.

  • Lastly, use of an app is completely optional. Payment by coin or credit card at EPark machines is always available, and use of the app is encouraged for convenience, but is not mandatory.
