How can you be heard by Council?

One of the things I love the most about municipal politics is the opportunity to connect with residents about what matters to them as Edmontonians.

I enjoy hearing from residents in the ward on all kinds of issues and City Council decisions. It allows me to help in any way I can, as well as provides me with information to best represent the ward.

Did you know that there are a number of different ways that you can be heard by your City Councillor?

  1. You can send a message via the City’s website. *When you message all of the council make sure to include your address so your ward Councillor can respond.

  2. You can contact my office directly either by phone (780-496-8136), email (erin.rutherford@edmonton.ca), or the contact form on my website. Our goal is to respond within 10 days.

  3. All Committee meetings, as well as Public Hearings, are open for the public to speak at. To find out when meetings take place and topics being discussed, visit the City website. My e-newsletter also features what is coming up at Council and committee!

You can request to speak at these meetings by either by completing an online form, calling 780-496-8178, or by visiting the Office of the City Clerk on the 3rd Floor of City Hall. You can also register to speak at the meeting itself as long as you arrive before the start of the meeting.

  4. You can connect with me through my social media channels - Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter).

I also hold regular Community Conversations via Facebook Live. Join us!

  5. Come connect with me in person at various events, both formal and informal, throughout the year!

I encourage you to reach out at any time! I’m committed to responding and listening to any questions or feedback you may have.
